KYN Island

Koh Yao Noi, Thailand

Koh Yao Noi is a quiet, peaceful island nestled in the Andaman Sea, known for its untouched natural beauty, gentle pace of life, and warm, welcoming local community. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, turquoise waters, and lush jungle, it offers a peaceful escape from the chaos of city life. The island is home to traditional Thai fishing villages and rice fields, where locals live simply and harmoniously with nature. Life here moves slowly, encouraging mindfulness and presence—a perfect backdrop for healing, self-reflection, and personal growth. The people of Koh Yao Noi are kind-hearted and community-focused, creating a supportive, safe environment ideal for recovery and wellness.

Why
Koh Yao Noi?

The Glade Wellness Retreat is based on Koh Yao Noi because the island offers a truly unique environment for recovery, reflection, and personal transformation. With a predominantly Muslim community, the island maintains a respectful and grounded way of life, free from the usual distractions and temptations that can be common in more tourist-heavy areas. This creates a safe, supportive atmosphere that’s ideal for those on a healing journey.

Life on Koh Yao Noi is calm and unhurried. Surrounded by pristine jungle, quiet beaches, and far fewer visitors than nearby islands, it’s a place where people can truly slow down, reconnect, and focus inward. The Glade itself is tucked away in a peaceful natural setting, and our program includes unforgettable sailing trips to nearby national park islands—some of the most stunning in Thailand. The island also offers enriching activities like Muay Thai training and yoga, adding to the balance of movement, mindfulness, and connection that defines our approach.

The Weather, A Gentle Kind of Warm

The weather on Koh Yao Noi has a calm, easy feel to it. Most days, the sun rises into a soft blue sky, warming the island without being too harsh. Temperatures usually sit between 28°C and 32°C.

A light breeze often moves through the trees, especially near the coast, making it feel cooler than it is. Even when the air feels still, the island’s slow rhythm makes the heat feel more like a companion than a burden.

When it rains, it usually doesn’t last long. Showers come and go quickly, leaving behind clean air and glistening leaves. It’s the kind of place where the weather makes you want to sit still and soak it all in.
